Why don't you try a Linux Operating System? Almost all of them are free, and will give you all of the wireless support you need. I would recommend a OS that is light on system resources, like Puppy Linux or Ubuntu Light. If you have never tried them, you will be blown away with how much better your computer will run without having to deal with that piece-of-crap Windows ME. Even if you manage to find a card out there the supports ME, the setup is very complicated, and performance is marginal, at best. SInce ME is based on the same platform as Win98, you won't be better off with Win98 on your laptop, either. There are many wireless network cards that support Linux, and even the ones that don't will probably work anyway. I listed one that is supports linux, but there are many more. Good luck.

Is there any wireless software for my Sony Laptop with windows me?
I have been trying for months to find a wireless card for my laptop with windows me. Someone suggested to change my operating system. I have windows 98 cd. Can I down grade to 98 and if so how? When I tried it the system tells me I can not downgrade to a lower version of windows. HELP! I can't afford much and realy need to get wireless.Is there any wireless software for my Sony Laptop with windows me?
