Can anyone help me add pidgin plugins and mods to my Jaunty Jackalope Ubuntu?

I have no idea what I'm doing. I hated Windows, so I figured, what they hay, I'll change the operating system. Now I have no idea how to install anything. Help? Please? All I have is a line of characters. I don't know where to put it, and all the online tutorials are waaaaay over my head.

for how to install programs go to applications menu on the top left corner then add/remove and choose what you like

Remember, linux is a completely different operating system and needs time to be learnt. Just take it slowly and you'll learn more and more. The desktop interface is not bad and you can use a program called synaptic to install more packages



(Press alt-F2 and write synaptic and ENTER)
