How do i cancel having the choice of 2 operating systems in the bios?

I used to have windows 7 and windows xp installed, XP was the main one on the C drive and Windows 7 on D and i decided to format D and merge it with C and it still gives me a choice of %26quot;earlier version of windows%26quot; or %26quot;windows 7%26quot; How do i change it so Windows XP starts up without having any choice.
