How can you change the order in the computer systems BIOS to boot from the cd instead of the hard drive?

I am running an HP system with XP. Please advise. I need to repair the operating system from the windows XP Cd that came with the computer.How can you change the order in the computer systems BIOS to boot from the cd instead of the hard drive?
enter your bios go to advandced bios settings and where it says 1st boot device highlight it and by pressing the - and + symbols on your number pad scroll through the options til you get to cd rom then on 2nd boot device change that to hdd-0 in the same way then insert your cd and press F10 to save and exit when promted press a key to boot from your cd
