I have a computer that runs in Spanish and I want to change it to English, how do I do that?

I believe that the system was set up in Spanish. When I download updates I always ask for English, but it comes up in Spanish. I have looked at the options button in the task bar and it says it's in English, but it isn't!? Is there any way I can change the operating system to English without loosing all my programs and info?I have a computer that runs in Spanish and I want to change it to English, how do I do that?

there is an option in your computer (depending on what kind of computer u have) that changes the language on many things that includes downloads. you can change it by either changeing the language settings on your computer, inserting the language operating disks that usually come with your computer (might/might not have), or refresh your system therefore resetting your settings on your computer.
