if u have XP OS on a cdrom, set your pc to boot from the cdrom drive (involve CMOS settings - %26quot;press Del for setup%26quot;) and just pop in the xp cdrom in to the cdrom drive. reboot system - it will load and setup XP OS either over Win98 or u can have two OS (dual boot) .... chances are if u r using Win98 - your system would be pretty old and if i m right, the configuration of your pc may not be suitable to run XP. u need more RAM (memory at least 256Mb or more) and a P4 (or equivalent) - yours may only be a PIII (or equivalent)....hope this helps ...
