first you will need a bootable xp cd. insert it into the cd drive restart the pc, hit f8 when bios screen appears continue hitting until boot menu appears select cd drive from list, if the xp cd is bootable , it will then boot from it follow the on screen commands ..goodluck

You can get an upgrade disc from Microsoft. You might be able to download it directly from them. However you get it, make sure you get an upgrade disc, not a full installation (it will be cheaper, and it should save all of your previous data) If you are using a machine that has ME on it, don't be tempted to move to Vista.
