How do i change system from linux to windows?

Ive got an acer aspire net book with a linux operating system would like to change to windows so my net book more compatible and i can use it for my uni work .but haven't a clue how to do this any advice ?How do i change system from linux to windows?
It seems you will have 2 problems from what I see from the acer specs. It does not have an optical drive, and the memory may be a problem for vista and windows 7.

You can attach an external optical drive to solve the first problem.

The vista specs say it needs 512 MB ram and that is what the acer has; just enough. It also says it needs 20 GB of hard drive space. So that limits you to XP

It is possible to install xp without an optical drive, see the first link.

If the acer has only an 8GB hard drive I would expect that to be too small for %26quot;uni work%26quot;.

I actually recommend against installing Windows on your netbook as it will run slower and you still won't be able use a lot of Windows software (the only advantage of running Windows on any machine) on it due to the limited resources on the machine.



That being said if you have your heart on running Windows you will need a USB CDROM and a legal copy of Windows XP (I don't suggest running Vista or Win7 (at least till Win7 is in production)). You install Windows the same way you install Windows regularly on any laptop. Put the CD in the CDROM and reboot, then follow the instructions.How do i change system from linux to windows?
You gotta partition your hard drive, and install Windows, and dual boot, choosing which OS you want to use on startup, a good program for this is none other than: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/

You have to be technically savy to install Windows, much more so on a Netbook because they have special hardware considerations.
