How do I change my operating system from vista to XP?

I would like to know how do I delete Windows vista from my laptop and put Windows XP onto it instead? I do not want to take it to the shop because they will charge me an arm and a leg, so any suggestions on the easiest and quickest way to do this would be appreciated. How do I change my operating system from vista to XP?
Well you just format your vista hard drive by right clicking your hard drive under the computer section. Then you put in the xp disc and run through installation. It's quite simple though I don't recommend doing it by yourself as you may screw your computer up and end up taking it into the repair shop anyways. How do I change my operating system from vista to XP?
Back up all of your data. Re-format your hard drive, eliminating all of your OS's. Then install XP. You do need a valid Product Key and an installation disk. If I were you, I'd install Vista after XP again just so if you need to, you can dual boot. XP must be installed before Vista to dual boot. I'd also recommend the beta for Windows 7. It runs using the speed of XP, but has the aero look of Vista. Apply for beta testing and download the OS into a CD. Then install it.How do I change my operating system from vista to XP?
