How easy is it to change an operating system?

I'm going to get a Vista computer but depending on the reviews on Windows 7 I might get that. How easy is it to change an operating system?
It depends on your computing ability and the ease of installing that specific operating system. From experience, installing Windows 7 seems to be very easy; make sure you follow the instructions which are printed on the Microsoft website and print them out so you can refer back to them if something goes wrong during the installation.

Please remember to back up anything you need as changing any operating system always has a risk !How easy is it to change an operating system?
Windows 7 isn't an official release just yet. It's available as a time-limited %26quot;release candidate,%26quot; which will give you time to try before you buy...

Typically, upgrading an OS differs from installing an OS in that your files, folders and %26quot;personal%26quot; data are preserved during an upgrade. Just to be on the safe side, however, I'd make sure I back up anything I can't afford (or don't want) to lose. How easy is it to change an operating system?
windows 7 isnt out yet. there are beta versions but thats closed now. you could get an illegitimate copy though.

as for changing OS, its really easy. just back up all the stuff you want to keep on your old computer and seeing how youre going from vista to 7, the system requirements should already be metHow easy is it to change an operating system?
Doing and upgrade on your operating system (going from XP to Vista for example) usually causes issues. It's best to get the files off of it that you need, and store them on either another harddrive or on a flash drive, and just completely reformat and start over. How easy is it to change an operating system?

Hi, Windows vista is a good choice but..........If you wait just a while longer you will be much better off with windows 7, It is an excellent OP.

I HAVE BEEN USING THE BETA VERSION FOR A WHILE NOW AND IT IS VERY GOOD. Also it is the version for the future, so you are future proofing your system at the same time. Hope this helps. How easy is it to change an operating system?
Stick with Vista for now. Dont attempt to alter operating systems unless you have done a course on Microsoft Development and stuff. It isnt for the unsure to mess about with.

Windows 7 will come along when its ready so wait for it to be fully tested before going for it. Vista is a big learning curve up from XP anyway so its a good step up for you.How easy is it to change an operating system?
Normally the biggest issue with changing an OS is compatibility issues with other programs. When Vista was first released there were tons of issues with Compatibility, and some still exist. I wouldn't get Windows 7 until it's released officially, and probably not until they put out a Service Pack for it, or a full year goes by, whichever is first.
