How do I change my Windows Vista operating system from 32-bit to 64-bit?

I had the choice between initializing 32-bit and 64-bit when I first turned on my computer after buying it. But I didn't know which one to choose, so I chose 32-bit. After researching, I realized it would have been better to choose 64-bit. I want to know what I have to do to make my computer 64-bit.How do I change my Windows Vista operating system from 32-bit to 64-bit?
The only possible way is to reinstall windows vista using a 64bit disk. Just go buy a 64bit vista OEM pack (or retail pack, you have the money) in newegg.com or tigerdirect.comHow do I change my Windows Vista operating system from 32-bit to 64-bit?
You'll have to totally reinstall Windows, 64-bit Vista is a different operating system from 32-bit Vista.

You'll have to reinstall. You should have the ability to make a Vista DVD (or two) from where your manufacturer put it (look in accessories) and then reinstall. You might be able to get away with an %26quot;upgrade%26quot;. Either way, there is not a magic switch. You'll have to do a full install. 64 bit OS's are completely different than 32 bit in regards to drivers, etc....How do I change my Windows Vista operating system from 32-bit to 64-bit?
If you had the choice, then I imagine that your system is 64-bit compatible. Nice. Just reinstall the OS and this time select the 64-bit option.

Only problem with 64-bit is that there aren't a lot of applications that have made it that far yet. Maybe some games, designing software... that sort of high level stuff, but day to day apps... not so many.

Have fun with it... Good Luck!
