I am not sure your laptop will run mac?

If you can, it will co$t.

I would up date Ubuntu first.

Click on system%26gt;administration%26gt;update manager%26gt; then follow directions on screen. Once updated- then upgrade to the latest distribution.

If you find that you just do not like Ubuntu- look and another Linux distribution. There are several real good ones. After all- mac is a Linux cousin.

I have been using Ubuntu for about 4 months now. After using windows since about 89 or 90?, and dos before that, I am convinced that Linux is better and easier to use than windows.

If I can use Ubuntu and like it...then anyone can.How can you change your operating system?
No. you can format a harddrive when you boot from the operating system disc. But when you install OSX on a PC it will have problems, and if you install Windows on a Mac you will have problems (even on bootcamp)

Windows 7 on a PC is the best way to go in my opinion, VERY easy to learn coming from any operating system. Fast, responsive, and simple to use.

Good luck! How can you change your operating system?
MAC OSX operating system can only works on computers made from Apple.

If this is not a laptop made from Apple, you are wasting your time and effort to install it.

Anyway, you would just need to insert a full (not upgrade) installation disk for the operating system, boot into the cd, and follow on-screen prompts.
