You can have them both installed and switch them by rebooting.
You can have a menu that comes up when the computer turns on that lets you choose. If you have a linux operating system, how do you change to windows xp?
insert windows xp install cd
start the system
select boot from cd
and then delete the existing partitions
and then follow the prompts
no big deal
if you want to replace the OS
but i would suggest you to stay with LinuxIf you have a linux operating system, how do you change to windows xp?
You can have them both on the same computer, if this is what you want, you have to create a partition to house windows XP , and then install it there (Linux supports having both om the same pc, but windows doesn't so install Linux first).
Or you can format the drive in which Linux is installed and install Linux in its place. I would recommend choosing the one you use often or like best, and if you work a lot on both you'll probably want to have them both.If you have a linux operating system, how do you change to windows xp?
you canuse both by %26quot;dual booting....this involves partitioning your drive into 2...you can find out how to do this at support.microsoft.com/partitions
you should then install linux on to partition %26quot;d%26quot; leaving %26quot;c%26quot; for windows xp
then when you boot up you will be given a choice of what operating system you wish to use,you normally have 30 seconds to pick before it goes on to the defualt system which is the last one you installed,in your case ..xp
however you can changed this by right click%26gt;my computer%26gt;advanced%26gt;start up and you can change the defualt to linux if you wish, you can also choose how long you want the option screen to be there
